Meridian & Vale is an independent practice of six, working across brand identity, editorial systems, and the occasional room. We take on a handful of projects each year and see them through, end to end.
A rebrand for a third-generation perfumer, built around a custom ligature and a palette borrowed from dusk at Praia do Guincho.
A quarterly print journal on slow architecture. Two-column grid, a proprietary display cut, and twelve plates per issue.
Wayfinding and identity for a roastery and reading room in Graça. Painted ceramic, risograph menus, one good bench.
A modular sleeve system for an experimental label. Forty releases, one grid, zero repeated covers.
We read, we walk the site, we talk to the people who will actually use the thing. Nothing is drawn in the first fortnight.
Small, senior teams. Long iteration cycles. Type, material, and motion treated as equal partners, not afterthoughts.
We stay on after launch. Guidelines are living documents, and we'd rather adjust a system than hand over a dead PDF.
We book one or two new engagements per quarter. Write with a few paragraphs about the work, the people, and the timeline — we read every note.
